  • Shortly after came their Lobster Bisque, which had huge pieces of lobster (yes!), and their Clam Chowder was the creamiest, bursting with umami with plenty of tender clams (yum!). The Newport's Finest Salad looked refreshing and they offer a variety of dressings. The mahi in their Fish & Chips was super moist and tender, the ratio of batter to fish was spot on.

  • This place runs so seamlessly! Now the food, well worth our drive. My family and I are huge foodies so we will drive for food! We had the shrimp pasta, lobster carbonara, as well as the smaller size of a lobster roll. I'm a sucker for lobster rolls! All 3 were fantastic. They also have some of my favorite beers on tap! Amazing ambience!

  • We started by sharing a cup (which was more like a bowl!) of clam chowder before ordering two Hook plates--one with lobster tail and the other with scallops. The lobster tail was delicious, especially with the yuzu sauce, and I paired it with a mushroom medley and roasted vegetables. The portion was so generous that I couldn't even finish it! The scallop plate came with five perfectly cooked scallops, complemented by fingerling potatoes and the mushroom medley.

  • he atmosphere is fantastic with large booths, tables, high tops, a large bar with seating and a bunch of tvs, and an oyster bar. On Monday we had a bowl of the chowder. So good! We also had salmon Hook Plates with the cauliflower and potato puree and mushroom medley along with the lemon beurre blanc. All were excellent!

  • Mind Blowingly Delicious! Celebrated my birthday here and we were impressed with everything we ordered. First of all do yourself a favor and order the Lobster Mac &Cheese! WOW... Our waitress was attentive and sweet and made great suggestions. Their manager even came by to say hello and to wish me a happy birthday. And they treated us with a delicious homemade bread pudding. We are rarely impressed, and this place did it all!

Gota tell you, I'm so happy I stumbled upon that video, because that was the best lobster roll I've ever had; and I've had the cousins main lobster truck! This is better...by far.

  • "Fan Fav Lobster Roll? More like Lobster Legend! Solid 10/10. Got the Chef Special sauce on the side because, ya know, gotta pace myself with greatness...   • The interior is right sized, the feel is like locals only, but friendly. Multiple big screen televisions to keep up on sports. A full bar is available. The wait staff are all fantastic. For the food, we ordered clam chowder, lobster roll, and fish & chips, all fantastic. Personally, I do not remember the last time a new (to me) dining location impressed me this much.

  • Absolutely on a SEE-FOOD diet when I'm at @hookandanchorrestaurant ! This spot definitely feels like seafood heaven for a seafood lover like me, with an extensive menu selection of basically any seafood dish you can think of! My favorite dish was definitely their famous, award-winning lobster roll, which was stuffed with fresh, generous pieces of lobster claw, and drenched in a tasty buttery sriracha sauce.
